Since 1947, Saratoga Parent Nursery School, has provided children and their families with a nurturing and memorable preschool experience. Initially opened as a babysitting co-op, the school evolved into a parent participation nursery school incorporating in 1957. The preschool and yard were completely rebuilt in 2000-2001. SPNS is a member of the California Council of Parent Participation Nursery Schools (CCPPNS) and is involved locally in the Santa Clara Valley Council (SCVC). Saratoga Parent Nursery School is also licensed through the State of California (#434414728).
For over 70 years, our preschool has fostered the development of young children from all over the South Bay, including Saratoga, Los Gatos, Cupertino, Los Altos, Mountain View and San Jose. Each class is directed by an experienced teacher in early childhood education and development. The parent participation ensures a high adult to child ratio, as well as low monthly tuition. We keep our classes small, so that each family and child can have their needs met.
SPNS celebrates the diversity that is in our community. We believe that “There are only two lasting bequest we can hope to give our children. One of these is roots and the other wings.”* Strong roots provide the security that builds confidence enabling children to sprout wings and explore what life has to offer.
